Tech. Bro.

Writer's picture: Chidi OnyebuchukwuChidi Onyebuchukwu

I woke up this morning thinking about the Africa child

I asked pickapic.oi AI to generate a picture using this prompt "African village boy on barefoot going to school with a laptop computer"

When I think of an average African Child, or just look at this picture, I am convinced that the kind of transformation we need to happen to an African child can only be achieved with the thing he is carrying in his hand.

Another alternative is to provide him with good governance but that is far-fetched, or nearly impossible. For now, provide him with a laptop computer, a good internet connection, and a source of light (energy), he won't beg you anymore, because I know he is capable of making judicious use of it.

This is what I think

So, this is what I think, I feel anyone who looks down on the African boy or girl, or seeks to paint this kind of image I painted about him, has not understood his talents and capabilities. for a boy or girl who has endured all the hardship he/she has encountered all their lives can solve anywhere, they find themselves and turn his/her bad situation around.

He or she has climbed the tallest of mountains to fetch firewood, stayed hungry for days with just the juices from the palm nut to sustain him/her, and for those that finally got a laptop on their palms, there is no internet connection to sustain it, yet they thrive, becoming the best programmers and tech. bros you can find anywhere. How did that African boy become a tech. bro? The answer is simple. Grit! A virtue he unconsciously developed.

I will continue reflecting on this and updating this post, I will notify you when the next idea comes, for now, have a nice day
