My experience as a marketer has taught me to think about the recipient of my message more than the message. I have discovered from my experience that my messages resonates well with the people when it is targeted. Not everyone will like the tone and contents of your message, but the right audience will pick it up, or even react to it.

What can we learn from the way God speaks to us

Our heavenly is a perfect example of how considering your audience can affect the way you communicate whether through writing, vocal, or non verbal cues. In D&C 1:24 we learn that our heavenly father speaks to us in our language, so that we can understand him.

I see that God is a good audience researcher that makes his messages resonate with anyone he speaks to, that we don't sometimes obey him in this case does not suggest that this messages are not understandable or that he didn't speak clearly to us.

As a professional writer, what can I learn from our heavenly father on this.

  1. Understanding the audience helps to tailor communication to their specific needs and understanding, as seen in God's use of language that is easily understandable for the listener.

  2. It allows for more effective communication and understanding of the message, as the audience is more likely to resonate with and retain the information.

  3. It helps to build trust and connection with the audience, as they feel heard and understood.

  4. It can lead to greater obedience and action on the part of the audience, as they are more likely to respond positively to a message that speaks to their specific needs and understanding.

  5. It allows for more nuanced and targeted communication, as the speaker can address specific concerns or issues that are relevant to the audience.

  6. It helps to remove barriers to communication by addressing any potential cultural, linguistic or socio-economic differences the audience may have.

  7. It helps to establish a clear and authentic connection with the audience by understanding their perspective and addressing their concerns.

  8. It allows the speaker to anticipate and address potential objections or misunderstandings that the audience may have.

  9. It helps to create a sense of empathy and understanding with the audience, which can lead to greater cooperation and collaboration.

  10. It allows the speaker to adapt their communication style, tone and language to better suit the audience and make their message more relatable and impactful.

In conclusion, God speaks to us in a way that we can understand, not minding the situation or circumstances we find our selves in, his message will always find us, and when that happens, it will always resonate with us.
